About

What this is

To Serve Admin is a practical reference for people who run servers — the kind of field-tested notes, recipes, and benchmarks you’d otherwise find buried in a wiki nobody maintains.

No sponsored fluff, no content farms. If it’s here, it’s been tested on real hardware and re-tested when the stack changed.

How it’s organized

  • Guides — how-tos with the assumptions you’d need to actually get it working.
  • Recipes — copy-paste snippets, one idea per page.
  • Field Notes — what we ran into when we got it “real world.”
  • Benchmarks — numbers from real hardware, methodology shown.
  • Troubleshooting — the actual error you see → the actual fix.
  • Reviews — we try things; we tell you it’s not good when it’s not good.

Housekeeping

  • Entries are field-tested before publication, re-checked on major releases.
  • Corrections welcome — write to hello@toserveadmin.com.
  • Ad slots are placeholders until the publisher id is set (Admin → AdSense).

Colophon

Stack: WordPress 7, PHP 8.2, MySQL 8, Nginx. Hosting: two Proxmox LXCs on infra-node1 — web + DB. Theme: hand-built for this site, source in the toserveadmin-theme repo. Search: the box up top greps the archive.

Colophon — the credits & how it’s built.  [EOF]
